The course content is based on the "Treating Without Pain" approach developed by Alison Taylor.
Our mission
At Hand Therapy Skills Lab, we strive to equip therapists with the knowledge and skills needed to provide optimal care for patients with hand-related conditions.
Our mission is to give all therapists the opportunity to become familiar with Alison Taylor’s Treating Without Pain method, enabling them to offer improved treatment to their patients.
Our approach
Our approach focuses on providing both theoretical knowledge and practical training.
The strength of this approach lies in the immediate applicability of the acquired knowledge in practice.
Each participant receives ample tools to use in patient treatment.
Our Team
Timo Potveer
Founder and instructor
Timo graduated as an occupational therapist from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2016, after which he completed the hand therapy training at the Handacademy in 2018. Since 2022, he has been CHT-NL certified and, since 2023, a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.
After working for several years in primary care practices, he has been working at the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk since 2020.
After attending the first Treating Without Pain course in the Netherlands in 2020, Timo completed a short internship with Alison in the United States. Since 2022, he has been assisting with the two-day Treating Without Pain course in the Netherlands.
Alison Taylor
Head instructor "Treating Without Pain by Alison Taylor"
Alison Taylor graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 1990, from Sydney University Australia. She obtained her CHT in 1996 and became a Kinesio Instructor in 2011.
She currently works at Baylor Scott and White Institute of Rehab at the STAR in Frisco, Texas where she collaborates with the best physical therapists in sports
Her specialties include hands, sports, pain and elbows. But she adresses pain in any part of the body.
Teaching is her number one passion and she is honoured that she can present her "Treating Without Pain" course all over the world.
